SUMMARY:Lerderderg prospective members day trip
DESCRIPTION:Day trip starting in Darley\, heading up to the Lerderderg quar
 ry ("4x4 training ground") for a drive around and practice some of the obs
 tacles there for an hour or so\, then north through the park up Nuggety Tr
 ack towards Wombat State Forest\, stopping for lunch at the Upper Chadwick
  campground (where there are toilets and picnic areas)\, then continuing o
 n to tackle Amblers lane (which includes crossing the Lerderderg River)\, 
 and then on to the mineral springs at Blackwood.\n\nAfter the drive\, memb
 ers are invited to join us for a meal and drink at the Pig &amp\; Whistle 
 Hotel in Trentham.\n\nThis trip will initially be capped at eight vehicles
 \, however if there is strong interest we can expand that to 14 and run tw
 o convoys.\n\nTrip rating "medium" difficulty in dry conditions.\n\nThis t
 rip will be dog and child friendly\, and we intend to spend a reasonable a
 mount of time out of our vehicles socialising at various stopover points.\
 n\n&nbsp\;\n\nMandatory equipment: All-terrain tyres\, UHF and recovery po
 ints.
